What are your thoughts....
MEC - Mobile Examiners Conference(c)
This is about all of us who perform at all levels, so experts to students can (well hopefully what I am mean is) will attend.
I see the conference along the lines of discussion and detail - a chance for discussion rumbles, to interact, to engage and re-engage with new and old friends, to meet, to communicate, and to demonstrate ideas.
I have some ideas, but I think it far better to see what other people would like and want to get out of such a conference.
I have secured a name that is hopefully befitting of who we are. I have not turned this into a business as I do not want all the luggage that goes with that. I just want to get back the feeling where we all turn up, have a great time, learn something from each other and go away thinking that was really great, can we do it again sometime. That is as opposed to those year-on-year bang it on, bang it out conferences that we see happening.
There will be a ticket cost, because there will naturally be a venue cost and all that goes with that (food and accommodation etc). I am not sure about paying people to speak as those speakers I have seen and heard in the past their slides and presentation end up talking about themselves and their services and little about the detail of the subject matter.
This is just an idea, nothing will be lost if it is not of interest.
