In all the classes I've taken for mobile forensics we've never discussed the logs that are available in the Android Recovery Menu. I've been working on a device for quite some time and decided to peer through the logs. There's actually a lot of useful information in there! I was able to find the chipset running on the device and the last security patch that was installed. Definitely helped me to think of some alternatives for the device.
