I am curious to know what general methods are being used by those in the field for testing and validating the tools used for examinations. For example, do you perform it yourself? Do you use/confirm reports provided by thrid party organizations? Perhaps you have in house capabilties to have that testing done separate from your examination function? I know we all work in different environments, both public and private and in several nations. The demands and time to perform these tasks also vary, so what steps do you take or things do you use to do this?
I have done a search here and most of the discussions are much older, hence my posing the question to the community now as I know this is always ongoing.
