Digital Forensics Job Vacancies: Digital Forensic Investigator/Analyst vacancy - Houston, TX

LCG Discovery Experts, LLC. is currently seeking to fill a Forensic Investigator/Analysis vacancy. The LCG Forensic Investigator/Analyst will be responsible for conducting investigations and analysis into a variety of incident types. This position requires the ability to perform forensic analysis on numerous types of devices and varied operating systems with a heavy emphasis on Windows based forensics. This position will require a high level of communication with colleagues and a focus on team based analysis/investigations. The Forensic Investigator/Analyst must be able to plan and execute technical investigations including detailed analysis and the drafting of clear and concise investigative reports. Scope: • The selected individual will be responsible for conducting in depth forensic analysis of digital media relating to a wide variety of investigative matters. Requirements: • Law enforcement experience desired but not necessary; • The ability to perform digital forensics on a variety of media; • Knowledge of and a proven ability to follow industry best practices/standards in digital evidence acquisition, handling and documentation; • Proficiency in using industry standard digital forensics tools; • Ability to plan and execute end-to-end forensic investigations/analysis; • Demonstrated ability to write clear and concise investigative/forensic reports; • Commitment to maintain current knowledge of forensic techniques, tools and their application in high tech investigations; • Demonstrated experience working as part of a team during forensic investigations; • Willingness to work with and interface directly with clients; • Willingness to relocate to Houston, Texas. Qualifications: • Minimum of 2 years experience conducting digital forensics examinations on Windows operating systems - additional forensic skills on other OS platforms a major plus; • Ability to plan and execute end-to-end forensic investigations/analysis; • Demonstrated technical understanding of current digital forensic principles and techniques; • Experience working with a wide variety of computer forensic hardware and software (preferably familiar with EnCase, FTK, TZworks, IEF, Dossier/Falcon, etc.); • Formal digital forensics training required (certifications not required); • Demonstrated ability to follow industry best practices/standards in digital evidence acquisition, handling and documentation; • This position will be located in our Houston, Texas office. Required Skills: • Able to work both independently and as part of a team to conduct forensic analysis to assist with investigations and the drafting of complex reports; • Able to articulate and visually present complex forensic processes and analysis results in a clear and concise manner; • Demonstrated ability and willingness to communicate regularly with colleagues as part of a team; • Willingness to work extended hours as required; • Strong attention to detail in conducting forensic analysis combined with the ability to accurately detail analysis efforts in support of investigations; • Knowledge of and willingness to maintain proficiency in current best practices related to high tech investigations and digital forensics; • Ability to communicate directly with clients as needed; • Ability to communicate with other industry forensic professionals as necessary; Compensation: • Commensurate with experience, salaried position.
