Just a quick question which I'm having trouble finding the answer too on Google and Apple.
(This is half based on another post regarding a skype question I posted, but don't want to hijack my own thread)
I have a iPhone5 running IOS 6.1.4 and on it there is what appears to be a screenshot and its saved as IMG_####.PNG in the Camera Roll, then there are several versions of the same image, slightly changed with some stuff blurred out with a Blurring App and these are .JPG (again IMG### etc)
I tried to replicate this with my iPhone 5 running IOS 7.1.1 taking a screen shot and it immediately saved as a .JPG
My "assumption" is that Apple have change from PNG to JPG since IOS 6 to 7, however, my assumption would not stand up in court. Does anybody know if this is the case and if there is a change log or anything from apple.
When I try to find a 'comprehensive' list of changes, its just the usual cosmetic stuff I get returned from sites/blogs etc.

Also... side note. The PNG has no decent meta data. Just a created/Modified/Last accessed. Again, its an assumption, but its not putting the 'taken with' data as it was not technically taken with a camera? Would this seem legit?
