Dear All,
I need to retrieve an exhaustive list of the web pages that contains a link to the site"www.yyyy.it" and the string xxxx.
Actually I performed the google search "link:yyyy.it xxxx".
Does anybody know any other tool or technique to get this list?
Best Regards,

Well, what you are getting are the google results for a given query.

you have to take into account several factors.
results coming from google are "results coming from google", they are not in any way "complete" or "exhaustive", they simply represent "what google thinks you are looking for and that it is willing to serve you".
different (national/regional) google sites (example google.it vs. google.com) may provide you with different results
different locations (IP address) from which the query is originated may provide different results
results of a query on google may be affected by your previous google search history
google is (the major but only) "a" search engine, there are tens or hundreds of them some more aimed to "local" or "regional" areas of the Internet, some aimed to a given scope (like SEO and the like) some only revolving around a "topic"
Just as an example bing:
http://onlinehelp.microsoft.com/en-us/bing/ff808421.aspx
has a number of operators that may be useful, altavista/yahoo has a few different ones:

etc., etc.
Here are (supposedly) the top search engines by traffic/user preferences:

BUT, just as another example, if you are looking for something connected to China you cannot ignore Baidu:
