Forensic Hardware: Motherboard Recommendations

I have been using the RIVE since it was released with out too much trouble. It works with my LSI 9265 RAID setup very well. But the board has had DIMM slot troubles. Its a clean setup and per memtest, the RAM works fine when testing stick by stick. Oddly, when viewing the DIMM slots in the UEFI all 8 sticks of 8gb are recognized at their XMP timings; however, windows and third party utilities do not recognize all 8. The RIVE is feature packed - this I will not argue. I do wish it had a second NIC. I often image to eSata from a Tableau and find disconnecting the drive often locks up my system with this board. Yet, with the Rampage III Formula which I have been using in a distribute processing box hot swapping eSata seems has worked just fine. There are a few other minor nuisances and "features" but they are relatively negligible. I was looking at the ASROCK Extreme 11 for replacement. It's been years since I've used an ASROCK board and it seems to be one of the three highest recommended boards. Ah, crud maybe I will try another RIVE in case mine is just a lemon.
