I received a Macbook Air computer and the drive on it seems to be an encrypted Linux operating system.
FTK Imager shows that the drive has 2 "Linux Native" partitions: a 500 MB partition and 121 GB partition.
When looking at the partition headers, I see "LUKS" which seems to indicate a Linux disk-encryption scheme. When I clone the drive and try to boot the clone, the only thing I get is a dialog window with a lock requesting a password (which I don't have of course).
Does anyone know if there is anything to do in this situation? Is there a password cracking utility know to be compatible with LUKS encryption?
Much thanks.
